So yeah I was minding my own business then I came across this band called 'Anvil' and they were probably the first Thrash Metal band yet I bet that 9/10 of people who enjoy metal out there have never heard of them. Sure we've heard of Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Slayer and other various bands of the genre but hardly anyone has heard the original creators.

I later then came across a documentary about the band, 'Anvil - The Story of Anvil' which was really quite saddening as it showed them living their ordinary lives after all these years, having produced 12 albums you'd exspect them to be rich as nearly everyone from when they started out to 1990 odd owned one. One member of the band, I believe it was the bassist, was so poor that he was living in a rented out garage.

So if you like Thrash Metal plesase go listen to some of their stuff because it is quite good, I also advise watching the film as it is quite entertaining.
